Feel good about preparing your meals without throw-away guilt: Plans change all the time; instead of tossing out what you don’t need, or keeping it in the refrigerator past peak freshness, enjoy the freedom of frozen! Our packaging is designed for freezer storage and our products stay frozen-fresh for up to 12 months. Plus, our products are perfectly portioned so you can cook what you’d like and save what you don’t need for your next delicious meal.
We’re also managing food to ensure it can reach those who need it most. Quality protein donations are scarce, and Wild Fork is thrilled to be partnering with Food Banks Canada: we will be donating over $25,000 worth of our products throughout the year. In addition to ongoing bulk product donations as they are needed in our local communities, we’ll also be donating surplus inventory products to FBC who will be able to make good use of the food before it expires. All donations will be safely handled and delivered frozen to local food bank locations around the GTA.
While we continue to work collaboratively with our partners and endeavour to have ‘blue bin recyclable’ designation (at a minimum) across all of our packaging and shipping materials, there are 2 key considerations in play:
We also need to take food safety into consideration; throughout the industry, sustainable and freezer safe packaging isn’t always widely available. We are committed to continue driving packaging innovation with our partners to help meet our sustainability standards.
Waste management and recycling programs vary by municipality. Until recycling programs are unified provincially (2025), look for the recycling icons on each package, along with your local municipality’s recycling guidelines on what to do with packaging & shipping materials after use.
