RECIPE:Turkey Lettuce Wraps

Vegetable oil1 tablespoon
Garlic cloves, minced3 cloves
Onion, minced1 small onion
Hoisin sauce¼ cup
Tamari2 tablespoons
Rice wine vinegar1 tablespoon
Toasted sesame oil1 teaspoon
Ginger paste1 tablespoon
Sriracha sauce2 teaspoons
Water chestnuts, drained and chopped1 x 8 oz. can
Green onions, thinly sliced4 onions
Kosher saltas needed
Black pepper, freshly groundas needed
Butter lettuce1 head
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground turkey and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes, making sure to break it up into small bits as it cooks.
Push the meat to the edge of the pan and stir in the garlic and onion and cook until the onions have become translucent - about 3 to 5 minutes.
Add the hoisin sauce, Tamari, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, ginger, and Sriracha Stir in to combine well.
Add the water chestnuts and green onions and cook until tender, about 1-2 minutes; season with salt and pepper, to taste.
Serve with your favourite dipping sauce.
