  • Ground Black Pepper1 tbsp

  • Unsalted Butter4 tbsp

  • Garlic Cloves6

  • Rosemary Sprigs2

  • Thyme Sprigs2


Cooking directions

  1. Heat cast iron pan over high heat.

  2. Season elk steaks with a dash of olive oil, salt and pepper.

  3. Place elk steaks and 1 tbsp of butter in cast iron and sear for 2 minutes.

  4. Add garlic, rosemary and thyme and 1 more tbsp of butter cook until seared.

  5. Flip steaks, add remaining butter and baste until reached desired doneness.
